Installing the app and activating an Edu licence

Installing the app and activating an Edu licence.

I go to the app store on my smartphone or tablet.

I search for “MYdys” and install the app.

Once it is installed, I launch the app. The app needs access to the camera and the photo library to work properly.

After the introduction, I open the app menu and tap “Edu licence settings”.

I choose how to enter my Edu code.

Adapting a text

When the app starts, I can take a photo of the text to adapt by tapping the “Photo” button.

I can extract a text from a photo saved on my phone by tapping the “Gallery” button on iOS or the “Files” button on Android.

I can also extract a text from a PDF file by tapping the “Files” button on iOS and on Android.

It is also possible to adapt a text previously copied in another app, by tapping the “Clipboard” button.

Editing the captured photo

To improve the quality of the text extraction, the captured photo can be edited.

During the extraction, I tap the thumbnail at the bottom left of the screen.

I can then crop the photo, adjust the brightness and hide elements that could disrupt the extraction.

Once the changes are made, I tap “Confirm”, and the extraction continues with the edited image.

On the result screen, I open the text settings by tapping the “Settings” button, then “Customisation”.

Dyslexia support options

Using the audio reader

Using translation

Printing the adapted text

To print the adapted text on the coloured background of my choice, I tap the “Settings” button, then “Result export”.

Sharing the adapted text through a messaging app

Deactivating the Edu licence

I tap the “Deactivate this MYdys Edu licence” button.

My licence is deactivated on my device. I can then use my licence number on another device, as long as my licence is valid.
