Standards

The right audit framework for every project.

French websites, international services or mobile apps: together, we define the standard and the level of assessment suited to your environment and your obligations.

Our auditors master all current digital accessibility standards.

Methodology

How does a digital accessibility audit work?

A structured four-step method, from scoping to presenting the results

Audit scoping

We define the standard, the key user journeys and the representative sample of pages or screens to assess.

Accessibility assessment

Our auditors carry out manual and technical tests, in particular with the keyboard and with the assistive technologies suited to the environment being assessed.

Report and action plan

Every non-compliance is documented. Fixes are organised and prioritised to help your teams plan the work.

Presentation of the results

We present the compliance rate, explain the main obstacles and answer questions from your technical, business and management teams.

Frequently asked questions
All about digital accessibility audits

Is my website subject to an accessibility obligation?

Obligations depend on the nature of your organisation, its activity and the digital services it offers. Public bodies and some large organisations are subject to long-standing French obligations. Since 28 June 2025, new requirements also cover certain private services, including e-commerce, banking, transport, telecommunications and access to audiovisual media. Exemptions exist, in particular for some micro-enterprises providing services.

How long does an accessibility audit take?

The duration depends on the standard, the number of representative pages or screens, the variety of components and the complexity of the user journeys. The scope and schedule are set during the scoping phase. On average, it takes 10 days.

What is the difference between the RGAA and the WCAG?

The WCAG are the W3C’s international recommendations for making web content accessible. The RGAA is the French method for checking the compliance of a digital service with the framework that applies in France. It provides criteria, tests and an audit methodology.

Does the audit cover every page of the website?

A regulatory audit is usually carried out on a representative sample that includes the mandatory pages, the main user journeys, the content types and the key features. Each page in this sample is tested against the criteria that apply to it.

Is an audit enough to make my website compliant?

No. The audit measures the level of compliance and identifies the fixes needed. Compliance improves once those fixes are actually implemented, then verified.

What happens after the report is delivered?

FACIL’iti presents the results and, depending on the service chosen, can help your teams understand the fixes and carry out a counter-audit once they are implemented.

Can I combine an audit with a FACIL’iti solution?

Yes. The two approaches complement each other. The audit identifies the technical fixes required under the applicable standard. FACIL’iti solutions personalise the browsing experience and comfort to users’ needs. A personalisation solution does not replace making the website accessible.
